As you can see, there’s more than one way to make Waves around here! First, there was the Waves on Waves on Waves baby blanket pattern launch that was released on March 1,
then there was the Waves on Waves on Waves Baby sweater WIP that I shared last week.
The pattern for this beauty is coming soon, be sure to subscribe so that you’ll know when it launches!
Are you enjoying the patterns from the Springtime Crochet Blog Hop hosted by Trista Burke of CrochetsbyTrista? I love the variety of styles and project types, there’s something for everybody.
Today I have the pleasure of being featured in the Springtime Blog Hop and I’m sharing the Waves on Waves on Waves headband!
This is such a fun pattern that is also perfect for headbands because of the texture. And if you’re looking for a stash buster, look no further, especially if you’re making the headband for a little one!
You can make it completely solid and put the focus on the pattern, make it with a combination of neutrals, or make it as colorful as you’d like. And definitely play with different types of yarn, cotton would work extremely well and different weights of yarn.
The pattern doesn’t require precision in terms of gauge, it’s forgiving – begin the pattern and continue it based on the length you chose then trim it with single crochet stitches. As long as you measure the head circumference or just make sure that it lines up to the intended width and length, you’ll have a headband made within an hour or two!
I included two styles:
– The smaller, band style headband was made with babies in mind but the pattern is adjustable to any size, just measure and adjust for the head circumference.
It’s easy to adjust the size for either style, just make more waves by adding rows or make it longer/shorter by crocheting more/fewer chains before starting Row 1.
– The headband with ties are for children, teens, and adults. The stated length is meant to cover you ear to ear and then use the ties to tie the headband in place.
